The Forgotten Facts of Venice

Venice, the famously romantic Italian city, is renowned for the canals that wind through the city. It’s not even remotely surprising that the city is absolutely flooded with tourists, estimated to average 50,000 new visitors each day (pretty significant amount, considering the “permanent” population is only around 70,000). While these tourists flood to Venice to observe the gorgeous architecture, art and the famous canals, for me, the history of the city turned out to be the greatest attraction.

Brisbane by Night

It may only be because I’ve lived here for so long that I feel like this, but one of the things that I am constantly thankful for in Brisbane is how safe it is to walk around at night.ย Thank god too, because this city sure is beautiful at night! Will You Go Out To Muir Woods Today?

Lets talk about trees. Now, it would be a total lie to say that I travelled across the world toย examine different eco-cultures, but appreciate what nature has to offer up there? That I can get amongst! Outside of San Francisco, we compensated for missing our tour to Yosemite with an, albeit smaller, but still impressive national park.
